1. Purpose of Event

The highlight of Jiaoxi Township’s Swing Event Heritage that has passed down for over a hundred years is the swing competition, where the tradition has been carried on for over hundred years. With a rich 135 years history of the Swing Event, in the perspective of traditional festive culture, the spirit and historical meaning of the Mid-Autumn Festival should continue to be carried on generation by generation. Therefore, a Swing competition is held as part of the “Heritage of Mid-Autumn Folk Custom Game and Culture” event.

4. Location: Jiaoxi Elementary School (No. 135, Section 4, Jiaoxi Rd, Dazhong Village, Jiaoxi Township)
5. Date: Saturday, 4^th October 2025
   • Open Group
     1. Men’s Group
        1. Preliminary Round: 17.00 to 19.00
        2. Finals Round: 20.30 to 21.30
     2. Women’s Group: 20.30 to 21.30
   • Challenge Group: 17.00 to 20.30
   • Experiencing Group: Under 70 Kg: 17.00 to 21.30
6. Registration Period: From 15th September 2025 to 1st October 2025, registration closed when participant capacity is reached.
7. Registration Fee and Gifts
   • Registration Fee: Free
   • Registration Gifts:
     1. All participants who registered and personally participated in the competition for Open Group and Challenge Group, will immediately receive a commemorative shirt and number bib on site. Those who can’t personally participate will be considered forfeiting their registration gifts without objection.

Commemorative Shirt Sizes: If the size is not specified, the organizer will provide the existing size of the commemorative shirt on-site.

1. For participants registered for Experience Group and personally participating in the competition, will receive 1 Piece of Pomelo on-site, with 150 pieces available, while stock last.

8. Registration Groups and Quotas
   • Open Group:
     1. Men’s Group: 50 Participants, closed if capacity is reached.
     2. Women’s Group: 30 Participants, closed if capacity is reached.
   • Challenge Group:
     1. Young Adult Group: 60 Participants, closed if capacity is reached.
     2. Senior Group: 10 Participants, closed if capacity is reached.
   • Experiencing Group: 150 Participants, depending on the situation.

1. Registration Qualification
   • Open Group: Men and Women between 18 to 65 years old with under 100 Kg body weight.
   • Challenge Group:
     1. Young Adult Group: Men and Women between 18 to 54 years old with under 100 Kg body weight.
     2. Senior Group: Men and Women between 55 to 75 years old with under 100 Kg body weight.
   • Experiencing Group: Men and Women under 70 Kg body weight, children under 7 years old must be accompanied by parent.
   • Foreigners： Can Register online using Passport

• Experiencing Group: Registration will be done on-site
• Participant cannot Register multiple times or compete across groups, otherwise, qualifications and prizes will be cancelled.
• The order of appearance for participants in both preliminary and final rounds will be based on the registration numbers, in ascending order.
• If incorrect information is provided during registration, resulting in inability to obtain insurance, it will be considered as an unsuccessful registration.

1. Competition Rules and Prize
   • Open Group: The winner is determined by the number of times the bell is kicked. Time will start once the event assistants release the swing.
     1. Men’s Group
        1. Preliminary Round: Bell height is approximately 6.8 Meters. Each participant will have time limit of 2 Minutes, and the top 10 participants will advance to the final round.
        2. Final Round: Bell height is approximately 7.3 Meters. Each participant will have time limit of 3 Minutes, and the top 10 winners will receive the prize.
        3. If there is tiebreaker in preliminary and final rounds, will proceed a tiebreaker match, with each participant having a time limit of 2 minutes.
        4. Prize: The Champion will receive NT$30.000, Runner-Up will receive NT$20.000, Third Place will receive NT$10.000, Fourth Place will receive NT$8.000, Fifth to Tenth Place will receive NT$5.000. For prize over NT$20.000, a 10% Tax will be deducted. Other participants will receive NT$300 for each time the bell is kicked, with a maximum cap of NT$3.000.
        5. Trophies: Trophies will be awarded to the Top 10 Winners.
        6. Winners must go to the registration area after the finals to sign for their prize receipt and participate in the award ceremony.
     2. Women’s Group
        1. Bell height is approximately 4.5 Meters. Each participant will have time limit of 2 Minutes, and the top 3 participants will receive the prize.
        2. If there is tiebreaker, will proceed a tiebreaker match, with each participant having a time limit of 2 Minutes.
        3. Prize: The Champion will receive NT$10.000, Runner-Up will receive NT$8.000, and Third Place will receive NT$5.000. Other participants will receive NT$300 for each time the bell is kicked, with a maximum cap of NT$3.000.
        4. Trophies: Trophies will be awarded to the Top 3 Winners.
        5. Winners must go to the registration area after the finals to sign for their prize receipt and participate in the award ceremony.

• Challenge Group: Differentiated based on the number of the times the bell is kicked. Time will start once the event assistants release the swing.
  
  5. Young Adult Group: Bell height is approximately 5.5 Meters. Participants will receive NT$200 for each time the bell is kicked, with a maximum cap of NT$2.000, and has a time limit of 2 Minutes.
  6. Senior Group: Bell height is approximately 4.5 Meters. Participants will receive NT$300 for each time the bell is kicked, with a maximum cap of NT$3.000, and has a time limit of 2 Minutes

• Winners must go to the registration area after the finals to sign for their prize receipt and collect their prize.

• Experiencing Group: Differentiated based on the number of the times the bell is kicked. Time will start once the event assistants release the swing. Bell height is approximately 3.5 Meters, and participants would receive a souvenir if they successfully kicked the bell, with 150 souvenirs available, while stock last. Each participant will have a time limit of 1 Minute.

2. Register Time
   • When registering before competition, if there is discrepancies between the National ID and registration data, it will be considered forfeiting without objection.
   • Open Group:
     1. Men’s Group
        1. Preliminary Round: Register open from 16.00 to 16.50. Participant must personally bring their National ID to the registration area to finish registering. Those who arrived after 17.00, will be considered forfeiting without objection.
        2. Final Round: Register open from 20.00 to 20.20. Participant must personally bring their National ID to the registration area to finish registering. Those who arrived after 20.30, will be considered forfeiting without objection.
     2. Women’s Group: Register open from 20.00 to 20.20. Participant must personally bring their National ID to the registration area to finish registering. Those who arrived after 20.30, will be considered forfeiting without objection.

Challenge Group: Register open from 16.00 to 16.50. Participant must personally bring their National ID to the registration area to finish registering. Those who arrived after 17.00, will be considered forfeiting without objection

1. Participant Practice Time
   • From 10.30 to 12.00 on Wednesday, 17^th  September
   • From 9.00 to 12.00 on Saturday, 4^th October.
2. Important Notes
   • During competition period, all participants must always keep their mobile phones available for communication regarding relevant matters.
   • Participants are strictly prohibited from using any assisting tools other than provided by the event, otherwise, they will be disqualified.
   • Participants Prohibitions: Those with heart disease, high blood pressure or alcoholism should not register or participate. Participant that has family member in confinement or mourning are also discouraged from participating.
   • Participants must follow the competition rules and follow the guidance and decision of the event judges.
   • This event has insurance under Public Liability Insurance and Accident Insurance (Including Death, Disability and Medical Coverage) provided for participants in Open Group and Challenge Group. Participants in the Experience Group will not have any insurance due to on-site registration.
   • Participants in the Open Group and Challenge Group should wear their assigned number bibs and are recommended to wear the event commemorative shirts during the competition.
